Layers: Screen Forensics

A pretty powerful screenshot editor has just appeared on the scene, called Layers. Layers takes a drastically different approach to other screenshot managers, such as Realmac Software’s Little Snapper, by creating layered images instead of just one jpeg or png.

With Layers, you can create a Photoshop PSD file and then go in and manage all the layers within. Composite PNG images, or just a bunch of individual images are also possible. Support for multiple monitors, keyboard shortcuts, and a Menu Bar application make this seem like a well thought out little tool.

If you have need to dissect your website, software, or just for fun, you should check out Layers. It’ll set you back $15 USD.
