Site Spam

The comment spam has been under control since I started using Spam Karma 2, a plugin for WordPress. I have it setup to receieve emails after a few comments have been caught, just in case something legit gets caught. I checked the log today and just couldn’t help but laugh at the scores the comments received. The comments are scored on stuff like the number of links, the email submitted and more, to help catch the junk. I had one comment that had a score of -1524. Yep, I’ve seen a -30 or so before, but never that. I also had a -832 in the same batch. That’s what happens when you post a comment on a post that is a few months old, hasn’t had any comments, an invalid email, nasty website address, and 65 links. Just thought I would share.
