This really pertains here recently since I’ve been fiddling with blogging engines so much. I have to say that I’ve enjoyed using WordPress more than some others (mainly Movable Type).

However, the really interesting part comes in when you consider using remote apps that tie into the database so that you don’t have to go through the web interface to post to your blog. A fine example of this was Flock that I mention eons ago. Flock is a browser, but lets you post to your blog directly also. I’ll be looking into different applications that tie into the database here in the next few weeks. Right now I’m using a trial version of ecto. I will look at MacJournal, Journaler, and Blog Thing in the future.
